Description
This position requires a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Technical Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective training to ensure our workforce maintains the highest standards of competency.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in a specific area of expertise used in aircraft completion/production.
- One year of experience as an instructor, Subject Matter Expert (SME), or corporate/vocational instructor/mentor.
- Strong classroom management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects on schedule with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize projects in accordance with appropriate specifications.
- Proficiency in using computers for various applications, including emails, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations (e.g., Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to climb stairs and move about the production floor, other offices, and on/off aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to attend out-of-town meetings and conventions by surface or air travel.
- Flexibility to maintain a work schedule that supports all three shifts.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Teach courses as needed to maintain schedule, which includes, but is not limited to, conducting class in a professional manner while working from an established Instructor Guide, preparing student materials, entering course evaluations into the database, and completing necessary information in the Learning Management System (LMS) and/or filling out paperwork for training records.
- Create Instructor Guides and conduct formal on-the-job training or hands-on sessions to teach and demonstrate principles, techniques, procedures, or methods to meet company standards, procedures, and processes.
- Create Instructor Guides, E-Learning Guides, and other course materials for simple and/or routine processes and procedures to ensure training needs are being met in accordance with company standards, procedures, and processes.
- Revise Instructor Guides, E-Learning Guides, and other course materials for existing courses to ensure the training needs are being met in accordance with company standards, procedures, and processes.
- Administer assessments, as needed, to maintain the schedule, which includes, but is not limited to, conducting class in a professional manner while working from formal direction, monitoring students during assessment sessions, and filling out any necessary paperwork.
- Perform other special assignments as directed by management.
Note: The Technical Instructor will primarily teach courses in their area of experience. However, the Instructor will be requested to learn other disciplines to fill in for other Instructors to maintain the schedule.
