Flight Attendant

Responsibilities
- Ensure passenger safety, comfort, and well-being in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cabin safety and conduct safety demonstrations.
- Respond to in-flight emergencies and provide clear, professional communication to passengers and crew.
- Perform required work duties in an aircraft environment, adhering to established standards and regulations.
- Operate galley/cabin service equipment and in-flight entertainment systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively to accomplish tasks.
- Provide exemplary customer service, exceeding customer expectations.
- Assist with lifting and stowing luggage.
- Attend to passengers needing assistance, including unaccompanied minors, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Be dependable and punctual in completing work assignments.
- Perceive, understand, and respond to written and oral communications.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
- Adjust to rotating schedules with variable days off and hours, potentially including up to 16-hour duty days.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be away from home for extended periods.
- Sit in an assigned jump seat with safety restraints.
- Retrieve and store items in overhead bins up to 67 inches from the floor.
- Exposure to potential allergens such as peanuts and pets.
- Perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the aircraft cabin, galley, and lavatory.
- Restock the galley and manage catering items.
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes.
- Comply with instructions from management and the Pilot-in-Command.
- Respond to emergency situations by implementing instructions and following safety procedures.
- Guide passengers during emergency situations, such as evacuations.
- Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR and basic first aid.
- Ensure passenger and aircraft compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and safety measures.
- Make onboard public address announcements, conduct safety demonstrations, and provide instructions.
- Operate emergency exits and aircraft doors, weighing up to 60 pounds, and push/pull beverage/food carts requiring 32 lbs of force.
- Follow established procedures for restocking the galley, ordering catering items, checking expiration dates, and managing food items.
- Notify Inflight Services Leadership when inventory stock is running low.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 23 years.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid passport.
- Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
- Fluent in English; bilingual skills preferred but not required.
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and ongoing random testing.
- Must pass a 10-year background check, criminal history review, fingerprinting, and reference checks.
- Successful completion of Contour’s four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
- Ability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and duty periods up to 16 hours.
- Must reside within one (1) hour of the assigned domicile.
- Able to lift 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle interruptions and adapt to changing situations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills delivered with tact and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to working in a safe, professional manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Base Location
Must reside in the tri-state area and be within a 2-hour driving distance to any of the tri-state airports, including Teterboro Airport, NJ (TEB) and White Plains, NY (HPN).

Full-time employees are eligible for:
- Health, vision, and dental insurance, plus short/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance (effective the first of the month following hire).
- 401(k) Savings Plan with company matching contributions up to 6% of eligible compensation (eligibility begins the first of the month following hire).
- Paid Sick Leave: Accrual of up to 56 hours per year, with unused leave rolling over up to 480 hours.
- Vested Vacation Hours: Available on January 1st following the hire date, in accordance with Company policies.
- Non-Revenue/Space Available (NRSA) Travel Privileges on Contour upon hire, with access to MyID Travel after 6 months of active service.
- Leaves of Absence: Including Medical Leave, Non-Medical Family Care Leave, Maternity and Paternity Leave, and Personal Leave.
Compensation Details:
- Starting annual salary: $42,000.00, with annual increases to a maximum of $52,000.00.
- Retention bonus: Up to $2,000.00 per year once maximum salary is reached.
