Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties
The Flight Attendant is responsible for executing all necessary in-aircraft duties, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all customers and crew members.
Safety and Compliance
Performs all work activities in strict accordance with established standards, policies, laws, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
Executes instructions from the flight deck effectively during emergency situations and adheres strictly to required safety and emergency procedures.
Guides and directs passengers during emergency events, such as evacuations, to protect individuals and minimize incident impact.
Administers basic first aid, including performing CPR, to assist individuals in distress.
Ensures full compliance by the aircraft and passengers with all safety measures, procedures, and regulations.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and non-verbally, to deliver onboard public address announcements, execute safety demonstrations, and provide necessary instructions.
Customer Service and Cabin Operations
Provides exemplary, proactive customer service designed to satisfy and exceed passenger expectations.
Assists passengers needing aid, including unaccompanied minors, elderly travelers, and individuals with disabilities.
Provides assistance with lifting and stowing passenger baggage, garments, and other items into overhead bins or designated storage areas.
Prepares and serves meals, snacks, and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Maintains the professional appearance and cleanliness of the aircraft cabin, lavatories, and galley throughout the flight duration.
Completes detailed written reports and necessary paperwork regarding incidents or discrepancies observed during operations.
Physical and Operational Requirements
Must be willing to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors, tasks which may require lifting up to 60 pounds.
Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy beverage/food carts, requiring up to 32 pounds of force.
Routinely performs tasks requiring frequent walking, bending to ankle level, and reaching above shoulder level, including reaching up to 67 inches to retrieve or store items in overhead bins.
Maintains an immaculate and professional appearance at all times.
Required Qualifications and Training
Candidate must be 23 years of age or older at the time of application.
A High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States and the ability to travel internationally (in and out of the U.S.).
A valid driver's license and good driving record are mandatory, along with a valid passport.
Must be proficient in English, demonstrating the ability to understand, read, and write fluently. Bilingual capability is preferred but not required.
Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) required pre-employment drug screening is mandatory, followed by adherence to DOT-mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
The candidate must pass a required 10-year work history review, criminal background check, and fingerprint check.
Must successfully complete Contour Airlines’ comprehensive four (4) week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
Ability to manage a rotating schedule with variable hours, which may include duty days up to 16 hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must reside within one (1) hour of the assigned domicile.
Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, along with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to handle complex, multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Incentives
The starting annual salary for this Flight Attendant position is $34,000.00.
Employees are eligible for yearly salary increases, based on performance and pay anniversary date, until the maximum annual salary of $42,564.91 is reached.
Based on scheduling and performance thresholds, the employee is eligible for pay incentives for additional assigned or worked trips, paid in addition to the monthly salary.
