Responsibilities

  • Perform essential duties within an aircraft environment, adhering strictly to established standards, policies, laws, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Prioritize and ensure the safety and comfort of all customers.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service, aiming to meet and exceed passenger expectations.
  • Provide assistance with stowing and retrieving luggage, including lifting and securing items in overhead bins and other designated areas, and proactively seeking support when necessary.
  • Attend to passengers requiring special assistance, such as unaccompanied minors, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly, throughout all phases of aircraft operations.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations by implementing instructions from the flight deck and adhering to all required safety and emergency procedures.
  • Guide and direct passengers during emergencies, such as evacuations, to minimize impact and ensure the safety of all individuals onboard.
  • Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR and basic first aid, to individuals in distress.
  • Ensure all passengers and the aircraft are in full compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and safety measures.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal announcements, safety demonstrations, and instructions to passengers and crew.
  • Complete all required paperwork and detailed reports regarding incidents and discrepancies.
  • Retrieve and store items in overhead bins, which may require reaching up to 67 inches from the floor.
  • Work in an environment potentially exposed to common allergens such as peanuts and pet dander.
  • Operate emergency exits and aircraft doors, which may require opening and closing objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Maneuver beverage and food carts, requiring up to 32 pounds of force for pushing and pulling.
  • Perform tasks involving frequent walking, bending to ankle level, reaching above shoulder level, and reaching into overhead bins.
  • Utilize galley, cabin service equipment, and in-flight entertainment systems independently.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the aircraft cabin, galley, and lavatories.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors throughout all operational processes and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management or the Pilot-in-Command.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 23 years.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate is mandatory.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and capable of traveling internationally.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • A valid passport is necessary.
  • Proficiency in understanding, reading, and writing English is essential. Bilingual proficiency is considered a plus.
  • Must successfully pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug screen and be subject to ongoing DOT-mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive 10-year work history review, background check, and fingerprint screening.
  • Successful completion of Contour's intensive four (4) week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program is required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a rotating schedule with variable hours, potentially including up to a 16-hour duty day (ranging from two to 14 hours).
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated polished and professional interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possession of robust leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Well-developed people skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Capacity to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.

Benefits and Compensation

As a full-time employee, individuals are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental coverage, as well as short-term/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance policies, effective the first day of the month following hire. Participation in the company's 401(k) savings plan, with a company match up to 6%, is also available from the first day of the month following hire. Paid sick leave accrues up to 56 hours annually, with a rollover limit of 480 hours. Vested vacation hours become available on January 1st following the date of hire. Non-revenue/space-available (NRSA) travel privileges are accessible after six months of active service. A variety of leaves of absence, including medical, family care, maternity, paternity, and personal leave, are also provided.

The starting annual salary for this position is $34,000.00. Annual increases are performance-based and tied to pay anniversary dates, potentially raising the salary to $42,564.91. Additionally, pay incentives may be available based on schedule and meeting certain thresholds for additional trips worked.
