About the Role
The organization is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Chief Pilot to lead its flight operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive leadership and supervision to all flight crew members, offering expert training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Develops, implements, and enforces robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the safest and most efficient flight operations.
- Ensures meticulous compliance of all flight activities with FAA regulations, internal company policies, and stringent safety standards.
- Actively participates in flight duties on a regular basis, encompassing both complex domestic and international operations.
- Manages and optimizes pilot scheduling, adhering strictly to duty time limitations and ensuring continuous flight readiness.
- Evaluates and mentors pilots, fostering professional development and unwavering adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to the strategic management of aviation department expenditures, actively identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborates with maintenance personnel and vendors to support maintenance oversight, including thorough inspections and audits.
- Maintains precise operational records and ensures the timely and accurate documentation of all training, flight hours, and certifications.
- Partners with senior leadership to define departmental goals and spearhead proactive safety initiatives.
- Cultivates and champions a strong culture of teamwork, professionalism, and outstanding customer service throughout the flight department.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10,000 total flight hours is required, comprising:
- At least 5,000 hours in turbine aircraft.
- A minimum of 5,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Possession of a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
- Type rating in Challenger 604 aircraft is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience conducting both domestic and international flight operations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of dedicated corporate aviation experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and effective mentoring capabilities.
- Profound understanding of FAA regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS) programs, and industry best practices.
- Exhibits a professional, discreet, and highly service-oriented demeanor.
- Proven ability to adapt seamlessly to dynamic situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted passport.
