Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, comprehensive supervision, training, guidance, and performance oversight for all flight crew members.
- Establish, maintain, and rigorously enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.
- Ensure meticulous adherence to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and stringent safety standards across all flight activities.
- Regularly conduct flight duties, encompassing both domestic and international operations.
- Strategically manage pilot scheduling, optimize duty time limitations, and ensure comprehensive flight readiness.
- Evaluate and mentor pilots, fostering professional development and ensuring continuous regulatory compliance and skill enhancement.
- Assist in the strategic management of aviation department expenditures and proactively identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising safety or service.
- Support comprehensive maintenance oversight, including coordinating detailed inspections and audits with maintenance personnel and external vendors.
- Maintain meticulous operational records and ensure precise, timely documentation of training, flight hours, and certifications.
- Collaborate strategically with leadership to define departmental goals, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and advance critical safety programs.
- Champion a robust culture of teamwork, unwavering professionalism, and exceptional customer service throughout the flight department.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10,000 total flight hours, including:
- 5,000 hours in turbine aircraft
- 5,000 hours as Pilot in Command
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Possession of a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
- A Challenger 604 type rating is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in both domestic and international flight operations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive corporate aviation experience.
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Profound understanding of FAA regulations, Safety Management System (SMS) programs, and industry best practices.
- Possesses a highly professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt seamlessly in dynamic operational situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- Holds a valid, unrestricted passport.
