Aviation Instructor Pilot, CAE x SIMCOM
About the Role:
CAE x SIMCOM is seeking a highly qualified and professional Instructor Pilot to join its team. This position operates under CAE x SIMCOM standards and policies, focusing on delivering comprehensive ground school and simulator training for initial, recurrent, and specialty courses to customers. The Instructor Pilot is expected to concentrate on customer progress and performance, utilizing a tailored approach to training. This includes meticulous lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, and maintaining current publications and training materials. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ground school, instrument ground trainer, and flight training activities.
- Deliver flight simulator training for trainees.
- Evaluate trainee progress in acquiring skills and knowledge according to established standards.
- Maintain personal competency and instructional qualifications.
- Uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrate competent instructional knowledge in a dynamic learning environment.
- Effectively evaluate customer training needs and provide proficient coaching and instruction.
- Employ creative and innovative teaching methods.
- Attain applicable ratings and qualifications efficiently.
- Provide significant value to customers through quality instruction and efficient use of resources.
- Maximize productivity by effectively managing personal and customer time.
- Personalize and tailor instruction to optimize learning and satisfy customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Be sensitive to individual customer needs and respond proactively.
- Exercise common sense and sound decision-making within the scope of responsibility and authority, aligned with the company's Mission and Strategy.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Specific time by aircraft type and relevant licenses are necessary.
- Must possess a current Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings (CFI/CFII/MEI).
- Capability to potentially serve as a Training Center Evaluator is desired.
- Airline experience, particularly with glass cockpit aircraft, is preferred.
- Loss of certificate privileges may result in permanent dismissal.
Work Environment:
Training services are offered seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, with instructional assignments scheduled based on customer training needs. While typical work expectations may apply, the role requires flexibility to be assigned duties any time the company is open for business, with compensatory time-off awarded in accordance with the personnel handbook.
