Instructor Pilot - CAE SIMCOM
CAE SIMCOM is seeking a qualified Instructor Pilot to deliver exceptional ground school and simulator training to customers in Initial, Recurrent, and specialty training courses. This individual will uphold CAE SIMCOM standards and policies, focusing on customer progress and performance through a tailored training approach that includes meticulous lesson planning, classroom and simulator preparation, and consistent maintenance of current publications and training materials. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide standardized classroom and/or simulator training, unless specific aircraft training is required, for Captain Upgrades, Initial/Recurrent Training, PIC/SIC Evaluations, Differences Training, and Remedial Training.
- Enforce company standards by teaching and ensuring adherence to established service and safety protocols.
- Effectively teach required subjects and provide constructive feedback using strong interpersonal, verbal/written, listening, and presentation skills.
- Evaluate pilot performance accurately and impartially.
- Conduct ground and simulator training for customers at SIMCOM.
- Maintain accurate records, complete necessary paperwork, and submit required documents promptly.
- Evaluate customer progress against established SIMCOM standards.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and training center management.
- If authorized as a TCE, conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142.
- Assist in defining customer training requirements through participation in training conferences and meetings.
- Maintain competency and qualifications to instruct.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Meet Part 135 requirements.
- ATP preferred, or Commercial Pilot Certificate with CFII.
- Possess above-average knowledge of applicable regulations, Flight Operations Manuals, Operations Specifications, Crewmember Standard Operating Procedures, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Performance, and Company Policies and Procedures.
- Excellent fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional listening and presentation skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- General knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. MS Access database experience is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support cultural diversity.
- Customer service orientation.
Physical Requirements:
The position involves a dual environment setting, encompassing both office and simulator environments. Light lifting up to 30lbs may be required. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking may be necessary.
