C-130 Aircraft Performance Instructor

Role Summary:
The C-130 Aircraft Performance Instructor will deliver comprehensive instruction in diverse learning environments, including ground-based aircraft, classrooms, and simulators. Responsibilities encompass the generation of post-training evaluation reports, curriculum development for new courses, and potential contributions to Crew Resource Management (CRM) and courseware development. Proficiency in upgraded (glass) avionics and multilingual capabilities are highly advantageous.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver C-130 Aircraft Performance instruction across various platforms. Maintain attendee safety, particularly within simulator environments.
- Develop and maintain robust training curricula for new courses.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), contributing to the development and review of existing and new training materials.
- Lead and coordinate all crew activities during simulator training sessions.
- Operate the simulator Instructor Operator Station (IOS) during training sessions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience as a C-130 Aircraft Pilot Instructor.
- Minimum 2500 hours of C-130 flight time.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience in curriculum development.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences (domestic and international).
- Strong mathematical aptitude for aviation-related calculations (flight planning, fuel consumption).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and redirect trainees as needed.
- Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- Night vision goggle (NVG) experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Must provide verifiable US military or civil airline records of flight and simulator time.
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The role involves working in office, classroom, and simulator environments, utilizing standard office equipment. The position requires:
- Ability to travel internationally for extended assignments.
- Ability to stand and conduct instruction for up to eight hours daily.
- Ability to tolerate simulator vibration and acoustic environments.
- Ability to navigate stairs and operate within the confines of an aircraft cockpit.
