About This Role

Responsibilities
The Instructor Pilot plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality flight training using advanced flight simulators and ground school instruction. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing engaging and effective simulator/flight and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types, leading to the issuance of licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conducting comprehensive pre and post-flight simulator briefings in line with CAE's stringent standards.
- Serving as a subject matter expert (SME), guiding clients through their training journey and providing expert guidance.
- Demonstrating a strong customer service orientation, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment for all trainees.
- Maintaining meticulous training records, recommending remedial training as needed, and diligently tracking instructional qualifications and activities.
- Contributing to the development of curricula and courseware, leveraging their expertise to enhance training programs.
- Upon gaining 1.5+ years of experience and based on business needs, designated Instructors may have the opportunity to qualify as Training Center Evaluators (TCE) and customer contract check airmen.
Qualifications
- An Associate degree or college degree is preferred, while a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-5 years of relevant job experience, ideally within a training or instructional capacity.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Authorization to live and work in the United States.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based applications.
- Willingness to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating is highly desirable.
- Must hold or have held a professional pilot's license.
- FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time, and an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating are preferred.
Physical Requirements
This role demands physical dexterity for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Candidates must be able to:
- Sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours with limited breaks.
- Stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Comfortably sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
