Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruct and provide guidance in the ATPL Theoretical Knowledge program on subject(s) that are assigned. The maintenance of the highest standards of safety and discipline during all stages of training Conducting the training as directed by the HOPT/CGI/ATPL SME/MPL Manager. Assisting the HOPT/CGI/ATPL SME/MPL Manager in the preparation of course programs and classroom presentations when required. Conversant with all operational, technical and emergency procedures and Operations and Training Manuals policies and instructions. Identify and initiate improvements for practical instruction and Training Standards. To participate in regular instructor meetings, workshops and skill development courses as directed and scheduled by the Company. Ensure effective two-way communications are established and that adequate awareness of current training, operational and safety issues is maintained. To ensure on-going coordination with HOPT and MPL Manager, and that any issues raised concerning the conduct of theoretical knowledge training are appropriately addressed and resolved. Support the MPL Manager in the development and implementation all applicable trainee and employee theoretical knowledge training courses. Ensure that the approved theoretical knowledge lesson plans are delivered as scripted, and according to the company standards. Monitoring and reporting the progress of trainees, particularly those with progress issues. Reporting cases of sub-standard student performance or failure to meet the theoretical examination requirements via the relevant reporting channel as per the published process. Recording factual and comprehensive report(s) on the performance of the student during training without bias and prejudice. Ensuring that quality procedures are adhered to so that quality control and quality standards are strictly observed. Acting as Exam Invigilator as required. Any relevant duties/assignments as assigned by HOT/HOPT/CGI/MPL Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
Basic Computer skills, strong prioritization and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. High level of self-discipline and motivated.
Ability to:
Instruct and facilitate in a training environment. Instruct students in ATPL Theoretical knowledge training strictly adhering to the applicable Training Standards, CAE Kuala Lumpur Quality standards and other company directives. Monitor, plan and assist students to ensure satisfactory progress through the course within established timelines. Teach by example’ by behaving as an exemplary role model to students promoting professional, disciplined and safe behavior. Attention to detail, self-motivated and independent, ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven situation, able to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and deadlines. Sound analytical skills and ability to make prudent and logical decisions in high pressured situations.
Education/Training:
Minimum 5 years in the aviation industry as a theoretical knowledge instructor or significant aviation industry theoretical knowledge training experience with ATPL theory background. Having appropriate experience in aviation and knowledge of the aircraft concerned. Competent in adult learning techniques and use of advanced software and training platforms Highly computer literate.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years previous experience in delivering theoretical knowledge instruction at an NAA approved ATO conducting Integrated ATPL or MPL training (Type Rating training experience an advantage) and possess an appropriate ATPL theoretical knowledge background in general subjects.
Working conditions:
Work in a typical office environment and ground-based systems trainers and theoretical knowledge instruction. Subject to critical deadlines, extended hours and shifts as scheduled. Work during weekends and public holidays. Work schedule is as per duty roster. Own transport to travel to CAE KL in Sepang.
