Simulator Instructor A220
CAE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Simulator Instructor A220 to join their team in Perth. Reporting to the Head of Training (HOT), the successful candidate will conduct simulator training duties using the ATO’s A220 FSTD's, and perform other training-related tasks as required by the HOT. This position is offered on an On-Call (Fixed Term) basis.
Job Purpose:
The Simulator Instructor A220 will conduct simulator training duties utilizing the ATO’s A220 FSTD’s and undertake other training responsibilities as directed by the Head of Training. Furthermore, the instructor will participate in projects designated or authorized by the HOT.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct training duties in accordance with the FSI job description.
- Report directly to the Head of Training.
- Adhere to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend revisions where necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to meet CASA requirements.
- Liaise with the Simulator Technical department to ensure simulators are maintained to the required training standards.
- Monitor the progress of clients/students and develop action plans to assist those who are not progressing adequately.
- Promote and support improvements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials.
- Participate in Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, providing recommendations for remedial action concerning training progress or disciplinary matters.
- Conduct FFS / FTD training sessions in conjunction with office duties, when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) experience on a multi-crew jet transport.
- Hold a valid Simulator Instructor Rating, or equivalent, and possess/have possessed an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Previous experience in Airline/ATO training is essential.
- Prior experience as a TRI/TRE/SFI/FI/DFE is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of AQP/EBT/CBTA/IEC.
- Familiarity with civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
- Self-motivated and disciplined individual with initiative, capable of delivering results on time and motivating others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
- Proven leadership skills and a track record of working effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
