Breeze Airways is seeking a highly motivated and personable individual to join their team as a Part-Time Flight Attendant, based at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) Crew Base. This role is a crucial component in delivering on the airline's mission to provide simple, affordable, and convenient travel experiences, while embodying the core values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence. The successful candidate will be the face of the company, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests and fellow team members.

Responsibilities:

The Part-Time Flight Attendant will be responsible for:

  • Warmly welcoming guests, assisting with seating, luggage stowage, and providing information.
  • Maintaining a positive and empathetic demeanor, ensuring guests feel valued and appreciated.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for both guests and team members.
  • Effectively managing and mitigating high-stress situations while remaining calm.
  • Collaborating with team members in a respectful and effective manner.
  • Regularly monitoring the cabin to ensure guest comfort and accommodation.
  • Remaining flexible to changes in schedules due to various operational circumstances.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of FAA regulations, company procedures, and training requirements.
  • Demonstrating personal responsibility through punctuality, timeliness, and proactive behavior.
  • Adhering to professional appearance and etiquette guidelines, both in and out of the cabin.
  • Being willing to assist in other departments if the need arises.
  • Using, implementing, and explaining Breeze's Inflight technology.
  • Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, while maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Maintaining cabin cleanliness and galley organizational standards.
  • Providing clear instructions, including emergency and evacuation procedures, to guests.
  • Administering first-aid and medical care as required in emergency situations.
  • Maintaining emotional control and acting appropriately under high stress.
  • Conducting security screenings as required.
  • Completing Autism Awareness Training.
  • Adhering to all FAA and DOT travel regulations.
  • Achieving performance measures aligned with Breeze Aviation Group Values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to reach and remove emergency equipment from overhead bins without assistance, while also having adequate head clearance in the cabin.
  • Ability to sit and buckle into the E190, E195 and A220 Flight Attendant jumpseat seatbelt harness and lap belt.
  • Must present a neat, well-groomed appearance and make a positive impression.
  • Must be service-oriented and adhere to hygiene standards outlined by the CDC.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to pass a vision and hearing test.
  • Ability to successfully complete security screening training.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test, and a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and travel without restriction to/from the United States.
  • Valid Passport with a minimum of six (6) months remaining prior to expiration.
  • Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Willing to relocate based on the company’s operational needs if applicable.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to report to their assigned base for scheduled trips and work "Reserve Assignments".
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong desire for success.
  • Nose piercings are acceptable under specific guidelines (studs only).
  • No teeth embellishments or more than two earrings per ear while in uniform.

Tattoos may be visible while in uniform if they are within Company guidelines, which will be provided during the selection process.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties, including standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to read announcements clearly and competently, give emergency commands and communicate in English.

  • Physical abilities consistent with daily duties, including the ability to lift fifty (50) pounds and close overhead compartments with a maximum push/pull force of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to assist disabled passengers using an Inflight wheelchair.
  • Ability to push/pull beverage and food carts with a maximum force of approximately sixty (60) pounds.
  • Ability to perform all safety-related procedures.
  • Demonstrates Breeze's safety culture, values, and mission, while being "Seriously Nice."
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels.

Job Details:

  • Monthly guarantee of 37.5 flying hours per month.
  • Must live within a two-hour driving distance of Orlando International Airport.
  • Initial issuance of luggage and uniform paid by Breeze.
  • Paid training.
  • Eligibility for 401K benefits after 90 days of employment.
  • Travel benefits on the Breeze network after 30 days of employment and on other airlines after six months.

Pay Rates:

The pay rate increases with experience, starting at $25 per hour for the first 6 months and increasing incrementally up to $37.50 per hour at 8 years of service.
