Smartwings, a prominent European air carrier, invites applications from experienced and highly skilled aviation professionals to join its crew. Successful candidates will meet the stringent operational standards and experience thresholds detailed below.
Minimum Licensing and Certification Requirements
- License: Applicants must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Jurisdiction: The ATPL must be issued by a recognized EASA licensing authority.
- Medical Certification: Possession of a current EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: A minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 4 is required.
Essential Flight Experience and Recency
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,000 total flight hours is required.
- PIC Experience (On Type): Applicants must demonstrate 500 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on type.
- Type Rating: A Type Rating is required, specifically for the Airbus A220. This rating must not have expired more than one year prior to the date of application.
- Flight Recency: The applicant must not have experienced a break in operational flight duties exceeding 12 consecutive months.
Administrative and Operational Prerequisites
- The applicant must possess a valid, unrestricted European Union (EU) passport.
- Visa sponsorship is not provided by Smartwings for this position.
- A current Yellow Fever vaccination is required.
- Applicants must provide certified documentation confirming no prior criminal record.
