Simulator Instructor – Fixed-Term Contract
CAE invites applications for the position of Simulator Instructor. This crucial role demands a highly skilled and experienced individual to deliver comprehensive flight training in accordance with regulatory approvals, established standards, and best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and training quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct all facets of training, including classroom instruction and simulator sessions, pertaining to the relevant Type Rating.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of courseware and training materials, encompassing theoretical examinations, to meet client and regulatory stipulations.
- Closely monitor student progress, implementing tailored action plans as needed to ensure all trainees achieve required proficiency levels.
- Actively promote and support continuous improvements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials employed by the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor or Designated Authority.
Qualifications:
- A valid Simulator Instructor Rating, or equivalent qualification, is preferred.
- A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A minimum of 2,000 total flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Air Transport aircraft OR 1,000 flight hours as PIC on an A220 or similar type (e.g., A320, A330, B737).
- An ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL with a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5.
- Excellent command of the English language, ensuring effective communication during briefings and training sessions.
- Proven experience working for an international airline.
- Acceptance by the customer airline.
- Completion of initial Flight Simulator Instructor (FSI) training.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and teaching aptitude required for an FSI.
- An impeccable safety record with no prior airline accident involvement.
- Prior experience as a simulator instructor is highly desirable.
Additional Information:
- Successful candidates will be required to work in Korea on a rotational basis.
- The selection process includes an online or in-person interview, completion of an online CAE assessment test (ADAPT), and provision of a CAE PARC AVIATION curriculum.
