Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking a qualified Instructor Pilot to deliver exceptional flight and ground school training. The Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering flight training in a flight simulator and ground school, adhering to regulatory agency standards, CAE-approved curriculum, and customer requirements. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training experience. After 1.5+ years, based on business needs, Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Responsibilities:
- Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings, adhering to CAE standards.
- Complete required administrative duties, including training records, recommendations for remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications and activity.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the creation of curricula and courseware when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hold or meet the qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching others through strong communication skills.
- Possess basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
- Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
- Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires physical dexterity in performing tasks demanding hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and twist and turn.
