Corporate Aviation Instructor Pilots

CAE is seeking experienced Corporate Aviation Instructor Pilots to join their team in Dallas, TX. Job ID: 113169. This is a full-time, regular position focused on training development and delivery.

The Instructor Pilot is responsible for providing flight training in a flight simulator and ground school, adhering to regulatory agency standards, CAE-approved curriculum, and customer requirements. The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training programs. After approximately 1.5 years, based on business needs, instructors are expected to qualify as Training Center Evaluators (TCE) and customer contract check airmen.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers simulator/flight or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
  • Conducts thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
  • Completes required administrative duties, including maintaining training records and tracking instructional qualifications.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in the creation of curricula and courseware when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold or meet qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching with strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
  • Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires physical dexterity for tasks involving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and twist.
