Full-time Flight Attendant - Avelo Airlines Cabin Crew
Position Summary
Avelo Airlines, a rapidly growing, high-value, low-fare carrier, is actively seeking highly motivated and energetic aviation professionals to join its committed "One Crew" team as Full-time Flight Attendants. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Aviation Safety and Security
- Prioritizes and executes all mandated safety and security protocols, ensuring the welfare and comfort of all customers and crewmembers.
- Responds safely and effectively to a broad range of in-flight emergencies and security incidents.
- Contributes actively to the smooth and efficient operation of all aircraft and adherence to flight schedules.
- Completes required incident and safety reporting documentation accurately and submits documentation in a timely manner.
Inflight Service Standards and Compliance
- Serves as a dedicated ambassador of the Avelo brand, creating a caring customer experience from boarding through deplaning.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for onboard customer issues, providing creative and compliant resolutions.
- Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of and adheres strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures in all operational locations.
- Attends all required training, maintains current qualifications as determined by Inflight Leadership, and ensures all relevant company materials (including the Inflight Service Manual and Flight Attendant Playbook) and the Flight Attendant tablet are current and updated.
Customer and Crew Leadership
- Builds customer loyalty and exemplifies the “One Crew” value by cooperating and collaborating effectively with all operational crewmembers and Avelo leadership.
- Treats each customer as a unique person with kindness and respect, consistently delivering excellent customer service.
- Actively contributes to Avelo’s onboard service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Serves fundamentally as a critical customer service, marketing, and public relations ambassador for the airline.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Operational and Legal Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Possesses reliable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned base location within two (2) hours. (Candidates are highly encouraged to live in or near their base due to the nature of local day trip scheduling.)
- Must accept and relocate to a base assignment at the Crewmember’s own expense after successfully completing all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid United States passport (or foreign passport with applicable VISAs) prior to application, with at least six months remaining validity prior to expiration, and the unrestricted right to travel freely in and out of all cities served by Avelo Airlines.
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Compliance with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines’ regulations regarding drug and alcohol screening for safety-sensitive transportation employees is mandatory.
Availability and Physical Demands
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including duty days up to 16 hours, encompassing nighttime or overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and multiple days away from home (required for certain assignments such as Charter Flights or Reserve Assignments).
- Must present a neat, professional appearance and demeanor, adhering strictly to Avelo Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Must be willing and able to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
- Vision must be corrected to at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses.
- The individual must possess the physical capability to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level.
- Must be able to walk forward down the aircraft aisle without interfering with the comfort of seated customers.
- Must be able to be seated in a jumpseat with all belts/restraints fastened without the use of a seatbelt extension.
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for long periods of time, maintaining balance while walking and standing during flight.
- Must be able to push or pull aircraft doors/exits, or food/beverage carts with a force of up to 100 lbs.
- Must be capable of assisting customers needing assistance during an evacuation.
Compensation Structure
Avelo Airlines offers a competitive compensation package for Flight Attendants:
- Starting Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour (First Year).
- Minimum Guarantee: 75 flight hours guaranteed per month.
- Lead Pay: A $2.00 per hour override when assigned to fly in the lead position.
- Per Diem: $2.25 per hour when on duty at the airport or flying.
- Premium pay and Holiday Pay for Company-identified holidays are paid as applicable.
