Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all customers and fellow crew members in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.
- Respond safely and effectively to a broad range of in-flight events, including medical or security emergencies.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of all aircraft and flight schedules, completing all necessary incident and safety documentation in a timely manner.
- Deliver an exemplary in-flight customer experience, serving as the primary point of contact for passenger needs and resolving issues with professionalism and creativity.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual and Flight Attendant Playbook, and stay current with all revisions and bulletins.
- Foster a cooperative and effective working relationship with all operational crew members and leadership to build customer loyalty.
- Support and contribute to Avelo’s onboard service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Perform all duties as outlined in company safety manuals and as assigned by the flight Captain or Avelo leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must hold a valid United States passport (or a foreign passport with applicable visas) with at least six months of validity remaining.
- Must have the right to travel freely to and from all cities served by Avelo Airlines without restriction, including Canada.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
- Must be willing to accept a base assignment after training and relocate at one's own expense.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned base location within two hours.
- Availability to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including duty days up to 16 hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and multi-day assignments as required by operational needs.
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must present a neat, professional appearance and adhere to all Avelo Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Willingness to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
- Compliance with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines regulations regarding drug and alcohol policies for safety-sensitive employees.
Physical Requirements
- Vision must be correctable to at least 20/40.
- Ability to physically lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level.
- Capacity to push or pull aircraft doors, exits, or service carts with up to 100 pounds of force.
- Ability to be seated in a jumpseat with all restraints fastened without the use of a seatbelt extension.
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to walk down the aircraft aisle without impeding seated customers and maintain balance during flight.
Compensation
- Starting Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
- Monthly Guarantee: 75 hours minimum
- Per Diem: $2.25 per hour while on duty
- Additional Pay: Includes a $2.00 per hour override for lead assignments, plus premium pay and holiday pay as applicable.
