Avelo Airlines is seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals to join their team as full-time Flight Attendants. This role is ideal for safety and service professionals committed to providing exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all customers and crew members. Flight Attendants must respond effectively to in-flight emergencies, contribute to efficient aircraft operations, and complete all required safety and incident reporting documentation. They will also create a positive customer experience on every flight, serving as an ambassador for the Avelo brand, resolving onboard customer issues, and adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations, company procedures, and training requirements. Furthermore, they will be expected to maintain a working knowledge of relevant company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual and Flight Attendant Playbook. Customer and crew leadership is essential, with a focus on building customer loyalty, treating each customer with respect, contributing to on-board services, sales, and revenue generation, and serving as a customer service and public relations representative.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, possess reliable transportation, and be able to report to their assigned base within two hours. They must also successfully complete Avelo's flight attendant training and be willing to relocate to a base assignment at their own expense after training. Flexibility is key, as they must be able to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended duty days. A professional appearance and demeanor are mandatory, in accordance with Avelo's uniform and appearance guidelines. Compliance with DOT, FAA, and Avelo regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance is also required. Additionally, candidates must be willing to serve all types of food and beverages, maintain a working phone number and current address on file with the company, and possess a valid US passport with at least six months validity remaining, allowing free travel to all Avelo destinations. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, as is the ability to perform duties outlined in Avelo's manuals and all assignments from the flight Captain and company leadership. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
The position requires a vision of at least 20/40 with corrective lenses and the ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist. Flight Attendants must be able to walk down the aircraft aisle without interfering with passenger comfort, sit in jumpseats without seatbelt extenders, maintain balance during flight, and stand, sit, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods. They must also be able to push or pull aircraft doors, exits, or carts with up to 100 pounds of force, and assist customers during evacuations.
Compensation includes a starting pay of $28 per hour with a 75-hour minimum monthly guarantee, a $2.00 per hour override for lead positions, and $2.25 per hour per diem when on duty. Premium and holiday pay are provided as applicable.
This position may require performing other assigned responsibilities, and duties may change due to emergencies or workload shifts.
