Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all American Airlines flights maintain complete crew complements while adhering to contractual working agreements and company service standards.
- Schedules, reschedules, and reassigns flight crews to assigned trips based on base allocation.
- Monitors flight attendant monthly activity records and legal compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous experience in Crew Scheduling.
- Knowledge of airline operations.
- Experience with SABRE/DECS systems.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
- Skill in collaborating effectively with all levels of management and union representatives.
- Aptitude for reviewing policies and procedures and recommending improvements.
- Ability to analyze work product, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Capability to perform duties manually during computer system outages.
- Ability to memorize computer and city codes.
- Proficiency in understanding and utilizing the 24-hour clock and worldwide time zones in daily communications.
- Comprehension of flight attendant and pilot labor agreements.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required with minimal notice.
