Qualifications for Success
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of customer service experience is required, ideally within industries such as retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services.
- Physical attributes must permit safe aircraft operation, including the ability to sit in a jump seat with a fastened harness and navigate the cabin aisle, and operate emergency exits.
- Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport, with all necessary visas and documentation valid through at least December 31, 2026. Candidates with foreign passports must also hold valid documentation for legal work and international travel within the U.S. and globally.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to travel unrestricted to all states and countries served by American Airlines.
- Willingness to relocate based on the company’s operational needs is essential.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
- Readiness to report for on-call (reserve) duty at the assigned base, which may extend for an undetermined duration.
- Ability to professionally represent the American Airlines brand while in uniform, including adhering to strict appearance guidelines: no visible tattoos, no more than one earring per ear, and no facial piercings.
