Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers by adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of customer service experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services.
• Height and weight must be conducive to safe aircraft operation, including the ability to sit in a jump seat with a fastened harness without modifications and navigate the cabin aisle and operate emergency exits.
• Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas, valid through at least December 31, 2026. Candidates with foreign passports must also have all necessary and valid documentation to legally work and travel as a Flight Attendant within the U.S. and internationally.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States and the ability to travel unrestricted to/from all states and countries served by American Airlines.
• Must be willing to relocate based on the company’s operational needs.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
• Must be able to report for on-call (reserve) duty at the assigned base, with reserve duty potentially continuing for an undetermined duration.
• Must be able to professionally represent the American Airlines brand while in uniform, with no visible tattoos, no more than one earring per ear, and no facial piercings.
