Flight Attendant Crew Scheduler

American Airlines is seeking a dedicated Flight Attendant Crew Scheduler to join its Crew Scheduling Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsibilities:

The Flight Attendant Crew Scheduler is responsible for monitoring flight attendant monthly activity records and legalities. The individual ensures a complete crew complement on every American Airlines flight, meeting all requirements outlined in contractual working agreements and company service standards. This includes scheduling, rescheduling, and reassigning flight crews to trips allocated to a specific base.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in Crew Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Operations.
  • SABRE/DECS experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making, based on gathered and reviewed information.
  • Adaptability to constant change and a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and union groups.
  • Capability to review policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Skill in reviewing work products, identifying areas for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Competency to perform duties manually during computer outages.
  • Capacity to memorize computer entry codes and city codes.
  • Understanding of the 24-hour clock and worldwide time zones.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend flight attendant or pilot labor agreements.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required, potentially with short notice.
