American Airlines is seeking exceptional individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. The Flight Attendant serves as the face of American Airlines, embodying the airline's commitment to warm welcomes, dependable service, and a safe and comfortable travel experience. This position requires adaptability, leadership, and the ability to handle diverse situations effectively. Responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of in-flight service by serving meals and beverages, selling onboard products, ensuring customer safety and comfort, and responding to emergency and non-emergency situations. Flight Attendants must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, adhere to company policies and procedures, and adapt to variable work schedules across different global climates and locations.

This position requires a commitment to up to 6 1/2 weeks of unpaid training in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Upon successful completion of training, new Flight Attendants will relocate to any of the base locations, including BOS (Boston, MA), CLT (Charlotte, NC), DCA (Washington, DC), DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX), JFK/LGA (New York City, NY), LAX (Los Angeles, CA), MIA (Miami, FL), ORD (Chicago, IL), PHL (Philadelphia, PA), and PHX (Phoenix, AZ).

Minimum qualifications include being at least 20 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED equivalent, meeting height and weight requirements for safe aircraft operation, passing a pre-employment drug test and TSA background check, possessing a valid U.S. or foreign passport with necessary visas, and having the legal right to work in the United States. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work variable schedules, be on call for reserve duty, and professionally represent the American Airlines brand while in uniform. Required skills include the ability to read, write, communicate in English, perform safety procedures, handle difficult situations, and work effectively with teams. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull carts with a maximum force of 60 pounds, and assist passengers with disabilities.
