Amentum, in partnership with the U.S. Army, seeks highly qualified and experienced Instructor Pilots to join its renowned training program at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Novosel, Alabama. This critical role involves shaping the future of Army aviation by providing comprehensive flight instruction to undergraduate student pilots. Successful candidates will guide students through rigorous training, preparing them for the demands of diverse and challenging operational environments.
The Instructor Pilot will deliver comprehensive flight instruction in the UH-72 helicopter, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects. This includes simulator training, aviation theory, and in-flight instruction, ensuring students meet the highest standards of competency. A key component of this role is fostering leadership development within the student pilot population, preparing them for future leadership roles within the Army. The position demands dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to safety – a cornerstone of Amentum's training program, boasting over 2.3 million hours of flight instruction with an unparalleled safety record. Instruction will be conducted across a vast training area encompassing more than 40,000 square miles, across multiple shifts.
