Amentum seeks highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join its elite team of Instructor Pilots at the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Novosel, Alabama – the world's largest rotary wing flight school. Since 1989, Amentum's expert instructors have trained over 25,000 student pilots, instilling in them the skills and knowledge necessary to operate the world's largest and most sophisticated helicopter fleet. The selected candidates will guide aspiring pilots through a rigorous and comprehensive training program, encompassing aviation theory, simulator instruction, and culminating in actual flight training on the UH-72 platform. While military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification is not a prerequisite, a passion for teaching and a commitment to safety are paramount.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess:

• An ICAO equivalent or FAA Commercial Pilot certificate
• An ICAO equivalent or FAA Flight Instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, OR be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.
• Total Flight Time of 1500 hours (specific experience requirements apply)
• 100 hours of combined hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time
• Experience instructing students in instrument flight training
• 75 hours of Night Flying
• 500 hours of Instructor Time
• A current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to training commencement
• A weight not exceeding 250 pounds in flight duty uniform
• The ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
