A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fixed-Term Contract
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, seeks experienced and skilled A320 Type-rated pilots to join its team on a fixed-term contract. This exciting opportunity is open to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Duration:
- The contract spans 15 months, with a potential for renewal by mutual agreement.
- The contract includes an initial 3-month training period, followed by 12 months of flight duties.
Key Result Responsibilities:
- The pilot will assume the roles of 'Pilot Flying' or 'Pilot Monitoring', supporting the Captain in managing flight deck operations. This encompasses monitoring flight progress, evaluating the efficiency of aircraft systems, and overseeing the performance of other cockpit crew members.
- The pilot will conduct flights in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline's Operations Manual and relevant regulations.
- The pilot will prioritize safety and smooth operation of the aircraft by diligently implementing and monitoring prescribed procedures.
- Before each flight, the pilot will coordinate with the Captain and Dispatch Team to ensure flight and cabin crew members are well-prepared and have received necessary information regarding aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, weight, and distribution of roles.
- The pilot will meticulously carry out essential checks, records, and documentation tasks related to conducted flights, including take-off data, fuel requirements, and ATS flight plans.
- The pilot will utilize designated systems and forms to record data, such as logbook entries and CFPs, verifying calculated data with assumed values and obtaining the Captain's signature accordingly.
- At stations lacking qualified personnel, the pilot will inspect fuel type and oversee aircraft refueling, ensuring proper fuel distribution.
- The pilot will alert the Captain of any irregularities or unfavorable conditions that may compromise safety. They will take necessary actions as instructed by the Captain and guide the crew on responding to safety or security breaches.
- The pilot may undertake additional ground-based tasks, such as Safety Officer or Security Officer, as directed by the Head of Flight Operations and within the guidelines outlined in Part A of the Airline's Operations Manual.
Work Experience:
- The candidate must have accumulated at least 500 hours of flight time on an aircraft, with experience on the Airbus 320 being preferred.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable.
- The candidate must possess a solid understanding of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in handling other assigned roles, such as security or safety-related duties, as required by the airline and relevant civil aviation authority standards.
- The candidate should possess exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.
Salary and Benefits:
- Initial Training (Until Final Line Check): AED 12,853 (equivalent of US$ 3,500) per month (net salary, pro-rated for partial months) plus per diem.
- Monthly Salary after Training/Final Line Check (Up to 60 Block Hours): AED 20,199 (equivalent of US$ 5,500) per month (net salary) plus per diem.
- Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours: AED 275 (equivalent of US$ 75) per block hour.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (equivalent of US$ 50) per day, averaging approximately US$ 1,500 per month, allocated for food and miscellaneous expenses.
- Accommodation: The airline will provide suitable hotel accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis for the duration of the contract.
- Transportation: The airline will provide suitable ground transportation between accommodation and airports/office for all rostered flight duties.
- Travel: The company will arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the start and end of the contract, with a baggage allowance of up to 50 kilos.
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network will be provided during the contract period.
- After completing 6 months, the pilot will become eligible for MYID travel benefits.
- Uniforms/Laundry: Uniforms and laundry service will be provided for the duration of the contract.
- Roster & Day Off:
- The airline may roster the crew member for up to the maximum duty time permitted by the respective CAA.
- The pilot will be eligible for 30 days of annual leave in one calendar year, which can be divided throughout the year.
- The airline will endeavor to schedule as many consecutive days off as possible, exceeding the minimum requirement.
