Job Purpose
The Captain is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Company Operational Manual and all relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations. The primary focus is to ensure the utmost safety, security, and efficiency throughout all flight operations. This individual provides support and guidance to the flight and cabin crew, effectively manages emergencies and unforeseen situations, and maintains control of the flight to ensure successful outcomes and uphold a positive corporate image. The Captain operates the aircraft between destinations as per scheduled timetables and approved flight plans, assuming ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during all assigned flights, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements
- A minimum of 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience is required.
- A minimum of 800 hours PIC experience on the Airbus A320 family is necessary.
- A total of 5000 hours of overall flying experience is required.
- Preference will be given to trainers with TRE (Type Rating Examiner), TRI (Type Rating Instructor), or LTC (Line Training Captain) experience.
- The candidate must hold valid licenses, a valid Class 1 medical certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating.
- A valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification, at or above Level 4, is mandatory.
- An appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL, preferred) is required.
- Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments, as well as a Medical Fitness Check-up for Pilots in accordance with Company and Civil Aviation Authority standards is mandatory.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential; formal qualifications are advantageous.
- Basic training in airport and security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
- Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards related to security is an advantage.
- The candidate must be proficient in aircraft systems and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and web search capabilities, technical report writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Flight Deck Crew Emoluments – Captain
Contract Type: Undetermined period contract.
Fixed Salary: (All figures in Pakistani Rupees - PKR)
- Total Fixed Salary:
- Less than 1500 hours: PKR 1,594,000/month.
- 1500 to 3000 hours: PKR 1,814,500/month.
- 3000+ hours: PKR 2,035,000/month.
- Salary Breakup Details:
- Basic Salary: PKR 400,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 475,000 (1500 to 3000 hours), PKR 550,000 (3000+ hours).
- Fixed Flying Allowance: PKR 400,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 475,000 (1500 to 3000 hours), PKR 550,000 (3000+ hours).
- Housing Allowance: PKR 200,000 (fixed).
- Other Allowances: PKR 209,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 272,000 (1500 to 3000 hours), PKR 335,000 (3000+ hours).
- Conveyance Allowance: PKR 100,000 (fixed).
- Medical Allowance: PKR 40,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 47,500 (1500 to 3000 hours), PKR 55,000 (3000+ hours).
- Settling Allowance: PKR 150,000/month (discretionary).
- Seniority Allowance: PKR 100,000/month, increasing to PKR 300,000 over time (discretionary).

Flying Variable Pay (per Credit Block Hour):
- 1 to 30 hours: PKR 8,000/hr
- 31 to 60 hours: PKR 13,000/hr
- 61 to 85 hours: PKR 18,500/hr
- 86 to 100 hours: PKR 20,000/hr
- 100+ hours: PKR 22,000/hr

Flying Allowance Guarantee: Guaranteed compensation for up to 73 block hours per month, conditional upon completing 100% of assigned flying hours.

Duty Hour Pay:
- PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (sign-in to sign-out).
- Credit Hour Multipliers:
- Day flights: 1x allowance.
- Night flights (1830-0629): 1.3x allowance.

Off-Day Duty: PKR 12,000 extra if rostered on an off day, plus Flying Allowance.
