Fly Jinnah A320 Type-Rated Pilot – Fixed-Term Contract
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking highly skilled and experienced A320 Type-rated pilots to join its team on a fixed-term contract basis. This opportunity is exclusively available to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Duration:
- The contract is for a fixed period of 15 months, renewable upon mutual agreement for further periods.
- The initial 3 months will be dedicated to comprehensive training, followed by 12 months of operational flying duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and all applicable civil aviation authority regulations.
- Ensure the utmost safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights.
- Provide guidance and support to the flight and cabin crew, effectively handling emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios.
- Take complete control of the flight to ensure successful performance and maintain a positive corporate image.
- Consult with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, and Head of Flight Operations for any non-routine or critical actions prior to execution.
- Perform all duties through proper channels and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Pilot the assigned aircraft from one destination to another, adhering to scheduled flight plans and approved routes.
- Assume full responsibility for the aircraft throughout the assigned flights.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain procedures to ensure safe and smooth aircraft operations at all times.
- Ensure the timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality of self and flight crew for all assigned flights.
- Conduct pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are fully briefed on flight details.
- Coordinate with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight, ensuring all crew members are adequately prepared and informed about aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel requirements, weight distribution, and role assignments.
- Optimize fuel efficiency during flights, within the safety constraints outlined in the Airline's Operations Manual.
- Supervise the flight and cabin crew to ensure necessary safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are conducted before, during, and after each flight.
- Take immediate action and provide clear direction to the crew in case of safety or security irregularities, escalating issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A valid and current ATPL license is mandatory.
- Must successfully pass the Airline's technical and psychometric assessments for pilots, conforming to the respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Must pass the Medical Fitness check-up for pilots, conforming to the Airline's and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential. Formal qualifications in this area are considered an advantage.
- Basic training in airport security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
- Crew Resources Management training is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4,000 hours of flying experience is required.
- Minimum of 800 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on an Airbus 320 is mandatory.
- Demonstrated industry knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures is expected.
- Familiarity with QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to flight operations is advantageous.
- Proven ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals in accordance with approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-oriented, with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to both results and details.
Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly Salary during Initial Training: AED 20,199 (equivalent to US$5,500) net salary per month (pro-rated for the part of the month) plus per diem.
- Monthly Salary after Training/Final Line Check: (For up to 60 block hours in a month) AED 27,544 (equivalent to US$ 7,500) net salary per month plus per diem.
- Flying Pay above 60 Block Hours: AED 404 (equivalent to US$ 110) per block hour above 60 in a month.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (equivalent to US$ 50) per day, on average US$ 1,500 per month, towards food and other miscellaneous expenses.
- Accommodation: The Airline will provide suitable hotel accommodation for crew members during the contract period, on a bed & breakfast basis.
- Transportation: Suitable ground transportation will be provided from accommodation to and from airports/offices for all rostered flight duties.
- Travel: Economy class tickets will be provided at the commencement and end of the contract, including up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance. Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period. After 6 months of service, employees will be eligible for MYID travel benefits.
- Uniforms/Laundry: Uniforms and laundry services will be provided for the duration of the contract.
- Roster & Day Off: The Airline may roster crew members for up to the maximum duty time permitted by the respective CAA. 30 days of annual leave in one calendar year, divisible throughout the year. The Airline will strive to schedule as many consecutive days off (above the minimum) as possible.
