Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew professional serves as the primary ambassador for the airline, dedicated to cultivating passenger loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image throughout the entire flight cycle. This vital role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers. The incumbent must maintain the highest levels of fitness and readiness to operate, strictly adhering to established company policies and adopted Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Result Responsibilities
Safety and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, and overall fitness and legality for all assigned flights.
- Attends mandatory "Briefing" sessions to confirm acknowledgment of flight details, role distribution, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on required safety procedures, ensuring their security and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial action in strict accordance with SOPs.
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities, malfunctions, or discrepancies encountered.
- Maintains the necessary professional and safety knowledge, competency, and current license status by consistently attending recurrent training sessions, including emergency procedures training and educational workshops.
Customer Service and Commercial Excellence
- Welcomes passengers and professionally assists with boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory (GCAA/CAA) and company procedures.
- Provides consistent, excellent customer services by proactively attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and general needs.
- Identifies and compassionately assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all financial transactions, including cash and credit card payments received against sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Operational Reporting
- Carries out meticulous pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items prior to take-off; reports any identified deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Executes the post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight problems or discrepancies.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and carries out the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when officially designated as such by the Captain.
- Contributes effectively to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales objectives and KPIs.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
Important Requirements (Physical and Eligibility)
- Age: Must be between 20 to 33 years of age.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, and 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all assigned Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Must demonstrate the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable academic qualification for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is highly valued.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered an added advantage.
- The applicant must be fit to fly, maintain good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Language: Mandatory fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience and Competencies
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply for this entry-level aviation position.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a similar professional customer service capacity within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a distinct added value.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is advantageous.
- The candidate must be capable of working on a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes and busy operational requirements.
- Exhibits the ability to successfully contribute to team objectives and deliver results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
