Cabin Crew Job Description

Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role requires providing excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Cabin Crew members must maintain readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
  • Participate in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
  • Instruct passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide first aid to passengers as necessary.
  • Promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
  • Welcome passengers and facilitate boarding formalities, including entering required data into the aircraft log book following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
  • Deliver consistently excellent customer service by attending to passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
  • Identify and assist passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
  • Contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thus helping to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Manage the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assist in ensuring thorough aircraft cabin cleaning at transit stations and confirm adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before departure.
  • Oversee the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in post-flight briefings and complete assessment reports according to adopted policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight problems or discrepancies.
  • Account to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and be prepared to perform Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintain required professional knowledge and safety competency through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring current licensing.
  • Contribute actively to team goals and successfully achieve allocated sales targets and objectives.

Requirements

  • Age between 20 and 33 years.
  • Minimum height of 160 cm for female candidates and 168 cm for male candidates.
  • Weight must be proportionate to age and height.
  • Possess clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
  • Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
  • Must be capable of working shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute to team efforts and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
