Role Overview

The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must be prepared and medically fit to operate, maintaining high levels of productivity in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct: Ensures punctuality, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and compliance with regulations for assigned flights. Participates actively in pre-flight briefings covering flight specifics, role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Clearly instructs passengers on essential safety procedures. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides necessary first aid assistance to passengers. Reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as required.
  • Customer Service: Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding processes. Accurately records necessary flight data in the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia, GCAA, and CAA procedures. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and provides support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to guidelines in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions. Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the 'Charity Cloud' program through effective promotion of meals, products, and charity services, working towards individual and team sales targets. Ensures the secure handling of all cash and credit card transactions related to sales and donations.
  • Operational Duties & Reporting: Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure. Reports any identified deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in overseeing the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin during transit and confirming adequate re-catering and duty-free stock before subsequent flights. Ensures a smooth and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance personnel. Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports as per company policy, providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight issues, and securing duty-free items. Accounts for passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and undertakes the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when formally designated by the Captain. Maintains up-to-date professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent, emergency procedure, and educational training sessions, and by holding a current license. Contributes effectively to the team, achieving allocated sales targets and overall objectives.

Important Requirements

  • Age between 20 and 33 years.
  • Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 168 cm for males.
  • Weight must be proportionate to age and height.
  • Possession of clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to fulfill all Cabin Crew responsibilities.
  • Ability to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • Holds a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate. A Diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Possesses training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures (an added value).
  • Deemed fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is beneficial.
  • Holding an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Capable of working flexible shift patterns, including extended hours.
  • Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent changes and busy operational schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully meet objectives against defined policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
