Cabin Crew Training Instructor
Overview
This role is responsible for the design and delivery of engaging and informative training courses to Cabin Crew staff. The training will encompass various Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring alignment with Air Arabia's stringent quality standards and adherence to ECAA regulations. The Cabin Crew Training Instructor plays a crucial role in fostering a cohesive company culture and upholding the esteemed corporate image of Air Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and Deliver Effective Training Programs: Design and deliver timely and impactful training programs for Cabin Crew, meeting operational needs and adhering to established safety and quality standards as outlined in the Air Arabia CSPM provisions. This includes implementing corrective actions for identified Cabin Crew deviations.
- Conduct Mandatory Training: Provide essential initial, conversion/differences, recurrent, and refresher training to Cabin Crew and Pilots. This includes supervising training progress and providing comprehensive performance reports to management.
- Ensure Comprehensive Training Coverage: Develop training programs encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects, encompassing passenger conduct, fire-fighting, CPR, first aid, safety procedures, emergency and catering equipment operation, CRM principles, aircraft layout familiarization, and comprehensive security protocols.
- Train on Post-Flight Procedures: Equip Cabin Crew with the knowledge and skills to effectively execute post-flight procedures, including accurate completion of documentation, occurrence reporting, and seamless handover/takeover protocols.
- Provide Leadership and Guidance: Conduct "Leadership" training courses, offer one-on-one coaching sessions to Senior Cabin Crew, and provide ongoing support and guidance to senior cabin staff, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.
- Evaluate Cabin Crew Competency: Participate in the evaluation of Cabin Crew competency and operational readiness. Maintain meticulous records of licenses and renewal dates, ensuring timely recertification and meticulous certificate management.
- Maintain Up-to-date Safety Procedures: Ensure the Cabin Security Procedures Manual (CSPM) is consistently updated and communicated effectively to Cabin Crew. Training courses should incorporate the latest CSPM revisions, ensuring compliance with regulations set by the CAA and relevant aviation authorities.
- Disseminate Safety Information: Draft, review, and approve the issuance of critical safety bulletins, ensuring Cabin Crew members are promptly informed, fully comprehend the content, and understand the implications for their roles.
- Support Training Team and Audits: Provide support to the training team during internal and external audits. This includes ensuring the availability, accuracy, and compliance of all relevant documents, reports, attendance records, and training materials, adhering to established standards.
- Contribute to Selection Processes: Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Cabin Crew selection exam question bank. Ensure the safety, readiness, and proper functioning of training facilities, equipment, and tools. Accurately administer tests and manage results.
- Support New Cabin Crew Onboarding: Assist new Cabin Crew members during the Induction Program, providing guidance on the Learning Management System (LMS) and responding to content-related inquiries. Participate in briefing sessions to assess Cabin Crew knowledge and understanding.
- Provide Training Support: Offer training support to other hubs, delivering training programs as needed. Conduct training courses for "Third Parties" in accordance with approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
- Maintain Operational Proficiency: Serve as Cabin Supervisor as required by scheduling demands. Conduct observational flights and act as a checker to maintain operational proficiency and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Update Training Materials: Proactively update cabin safety and customer service training syllabus and programs to reflect industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Management, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant training certificates and courses, such as "Train the Trainer" and "Instructive Training," are advantageous.
- Possession of an appropriate aviation license is highly desirable.
- First Aid training is mandatory, and formal certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in audio-visual equipment management.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet research capabilities.
- Fluency in English is essential.
Work Experience
- A minimum of one year of experience in the aviation industry, specifically as Operating Senior Cabin Crew or in a Customer Service role, is required.
- Familiarity with ECAA rules and regulations pertaining to cabin services, licensing, and working procedures is essential.
- Prior experience as a Training Instructor, particularly in aviation, is mandatory.
- Proven experience conducting First Aid and Airline Safety training is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in planning, designing, and delivering engaging training courses, preferably to Cabin Crew.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, synthesize information, and communicate ideas effectively.
- Ability to balance technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to implement initiatives that support company objectives.
