Lead Flight Attendant
AMB Family Office, the support company for the Chairman and his family, as well as the investment management and support services arm of Arthur Blank’s for-profit businesses, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Flight Attendant. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional and safe travel experience for passengers. The diverse portfolio of the Blank Family of Businesses includes The Arthur M. Roles and Responsibilities:
The Lead Flight Attendant will be responsible for actively participating in all aspects of trip preparation and execution, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort while consistently exceeding expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing a superior passenger experience on each flight, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Managing all aspects of passenger menu planning, ordering, and presentation.
- Contributing to the establishment, maintenance, and adherence to company processes and procedures.
- Creating and maintaining confidential passenger catering profiles.
- Developing, maintaining, and administering the aircraft stocking list.
- Facilitating clear communication between flight attendants and other flight department personnel, working closely with the Chief Pilot.
- Establishing and maintaining vendor relationships for training and service purposes.
- Developing guidelines for the management and training of flight attendants.
- Serving as a liaison to contract Flight Attendants for training and passenger service support.
- Managing the budget for catering and aircraft supplies.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin, galley, and lavatory, and promptly advising the Pilot in Command of any discrepancies.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust food safety program for aircraft catering.
- Exhibiting the highest standards of professionalism while representing AMB Group, both on and off duty.
- Demonstrating honesty, responsibility, integrity, confidentiality, and fulfillment of commitments.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive Cabin Service Standards.
- Functioning as a team player, demonstrating a willingness to undertake other assigned tasks.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Thorough understanding of safety, emergency, and in-flight service procedures, with proven competency in all aspects of cabin equipment.
- Associate's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience as a flight attendant on corporate, large-cabin aircraft, with a focus on serving High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals.
- Previous international experience as a corporate flight attendant under FAA Part 91 or 135 regulations.
- Formal corporate flight attendant training (FACTS, FlightSafety or similar), with current certification within the last 12 months.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
- Valid US Passport with a minimum of 9 months remaining.
- Proven experience developing and presenting personalized catering menus for in-flight service.
- Availability by phone or email 24/7, except during scheduled days off.
- Ability to travel with as little as 3 hours’ notice.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Flexibility to work beyond normal office hours.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs from floor to shoulder level.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions without limitation.
- Proficiency in MS-Word and Excel (basic level).
- Permanent residence within 60 minutes of KFTY airport.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment, along with a high level of professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. They will demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, as well as experience interacting with senior level management and family members.
The role involves regular standing, using hands and fingers, reaching, talking, hearing, and smelling, with frequent walking and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance, and is regularly required to move up to 25 pounds with assistance, and occasionally up to 40 pounds with assistance. The typical schedule will involve being available for scheduled and unscheduled trips when not on scheduled time off. Scheduled time off will consist of 5 hard days off per month in addition to 15 days of vacation per year.
