First Officer - Flydubai

The First Officer serves as second-in-command of the aircraft, providing crucial support to the Captain during all operational scenarios, both routine and exceptional. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of safety are consistently maintained. This role demands a commitment to excellence, where the First Officer will uphold rigorous standards in all aspects of their duties while serving as a brand ambassador, projecting a positive corporate image for Flydubai at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the safe and efficient daily operation of the aircraft as second-in-command.
  • Set a professional example for all Flydubai crew, upholding and promoting the company's corporate image.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company policies and procedures by every member of the flight crew.
  • Report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or safety protocols to the company or the GCAA through established channels, thereby contributing to continuous improvement of flight safety.
  • Maintain personal fitness for flight duties and promptly notify the company of any impediments.
  • Operate the aircraft strictly in accordance with approved policies and procedures as stipulated by Flydubai and the GCAA.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possession of an ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a valid type rating.
  • Possession of a valid ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Demonstrated English proficiency to ICAO Level 4 or higher.
  • Eligibility for a UAE residency visa.
  • Recent flight experience within the last 24 months.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time.
  • A minimum of 1,000 hours on modern (EFIS), multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft with an operating weight exceeding 10 tons (preference will be given to candidates with Pilot-in-Command time).
  • A minimum of 1,500 hours of Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) time.
Knowledge / Skills:
  • Exceptional knowledge of ATPL subject material.
  • Excellent Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Proven command ability and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain a very high standard of performance under pressure.

Information Security Requirements:

The First Officer is expected to read and adhere to the company’s Information Security (ISR) policies, reporting any vulnerabilities or security incidents promptly to their Line Manager or the Information Security team. They must complete all required ISR awareness sessions and incorporate associated guidelines into their daily operations.
