First Officer (B737) - Aviation Operations

About the Role

The First Officer serves as the Second in Command, playing a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight, including normal and non-normal situations. This position provides essential support and continuous input to the Aircraft Commander, contributing significantly to flight safety and operational excellence. The First Officer acts as a dedicated brand ambassador, upholding the airline's standards while prioritizing the welfare of both crew and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flight Operations & Safety: Collaborates closely with the Captain to ensure all flights are conducted safely and efficiently. Provides continuous input and assistance to maintain the highest operational standards.
  • Operational Support: Assists the Commander in overseeing crucial pre-flight and post-flight activities, including appropriate fueling, accurate baggage and cargo loading, and comprehensive aircraft servicing, to ensure readiness for departure and compliance with regulations.
  • Compliance & Procedures: Meticulously executes duties in strict accordance with the instructions and procedures outlined in the flydubai Operations Manuals. Reads, understands, and complies with the Company's Information Security Risk (ISR) policies, diligently reporting any weaknesses or incidents to the relevant Line Manager or Information Security team. Completes all mandatory ISR awareness sessions and integrates associated guidelines into daily operations.
  • Customer & Crew Welfare: Demonstrates a profound commitment to the duty of care and welfare for all crew members and customers on board, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Brand Representation: Upholds high personal standards of discipline, professional conduct, and appearance, serving as a dedicated brand ambassador for the airline while on duty.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) Type Rating, endorsed within the last 24 months.
  • A minimum of 1,500 Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) flying hours, with at least 500 hours specifically on B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) type aircraft.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
