About the Role
DC Aviation Al Futtaim is seeking an accomplished and dedicated First Officer for its Boeing 737 fleet. This pivotal role demands a highly organized individual with a flexible attitude, capable of delivering exceptional results in a high-pressure, dynamic aviation environment. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer relationship skills, cultural awareness, and a readiness to operate on a flexible duty roster, contributing significantly to the DCAF team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The First Officer's responsibilities are integral to safe and efficient flight operations, including but not limited to:
- Executing the Commander's directives, providing comprehensive support, and offering insightful recommendations on flight conduct. This includes maintaining vigilant awareness of flight progress to assume control when necessary.
- Calculating precise take-off data.
- Thoroughly familiarising with the aircraft's technical status.
- Verifying the onboard fuel quantity against the Operational Flight Plan (OFP) and promptly reporting any discrepancies that could impact flight regularity to the Commander.
- Acquiring extensive knowledge of planned routes and intended aerodromes.
- Actively participating in crew briefings, ensuring comprehensive flight and weather briefings are conducted, and evaluating prevailing weather conditions.
- Taking full responsibility for familiarising with all pertinent documentation and information.
- Ensuring all required documentation is current and performing necessary revisions in coordination with the Commander.
- Reviewing the OFP and Air Traffic Services (ATS) documents prior to the Commander's signature.
- Confirming the completeness and availability of all flight documents on board.
- Supporting and supplementing flight documentation, such as the OFP and flight log, in collaboration with other flight crew members.
- Assisting the Commander in the completion and forwarding of all flight-related documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following essential qualifications:
- A valid General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with Instrument Rating (IR), with a GCAA license preferred.
- A current Class Rating for Boeing 737 aircraft.
- A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
- A high level of knowledge regarding international regulations governing commercial aircraft operations over land and water.
- Excellent proficiency in the English language.
Conditions of Employment
