The Opportunity: Leader, Crew Culture
Reporting to the Crew Culture Manager, the Leader, Crew Culture assumes primary responsibility for leading, supporting, coaching, and developing a team of customer service professionals operating onboard aircraft. This leadership role is instrumental in fostering a collaborative, empowered, and high-performing team environment that consistently delivers unforgettable guest journeys. The Leader, Crew Culture drives team and operational performance in alignment with Virgin Australia’s core values, policies, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Furthermore, the role plays a critical function in proactively supporting the health, wellbeing, and professional development of the crew.
Key Responsibilities
The Leader, Crew Culture is accountable for:
- Inspiring and motivating Cabin Crew to build an environment that consistently delivers memorable experiences for every customer, every day.
- Ensuring the assigned team meets all operational targets, stringent safety regulations, and performance metrics while upholding superior service quality.
- Embedding and championing a positive people culture that aligns seamlessly with the Virgin Australia Group's strategic vision and purpose.
- Facilitating performance management meetings, ensuring strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant Fair Work legislation.
- Ensuring all team members adhere diligently to the Enterprise Agreement (EA), workplace regulations, and comprehensive company policies.
- Supporting investigations into workplace incidents, grievances, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair, transparent, and compliant processes.
- Managing the health and wellbeing of Cabin Crew members, including leading structured return-to-work processes, supporting employees through injury management, and liaising effectively with pertinent stakeholders.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation as required to guarantee the achievement of performance metrics.

- A minimum Year 12 qualification or an equivalent educational standard.
