An exciting opportunity exists to join the Virgin Australia team in Perth as a Leader, Crew Culture. This position involves leading our globally recognized Cabin Crew, a team that has been awarded Best Cabin Crew for seven consecutive years. The primary responsibility of the Leader, Crew Culture is to guide, support, coach, and develop customer service professionals operating onboard Virgin Australia's aircraft.

Exceptional leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a collaborative, empowered, and high-achieving team environment, ensuring that every guest's journey is memorable.

Reporting to the Crew Culture Manager, the Leader, Crew Culture will drive team and operational performance, aligning with Virgin Australia's core values, policies, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role also encompasses a significant focus on supporting the health and wellbeing of the crew, proactively addressing their needs and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Inspire and motivate Cabin Crew, fostering an environment that consistently delivers memorable experiences for every customer.
Ensure the team meets operational targets, adheres to safety regulations, and achieves performance metrics while maintaining superior service quality.
Champion and lead a positive people culture in alignment with the Virgin Australia Group’s strategic vision and purpose.
Facilitate performance management processes, ensuring strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and Fair Work legislation.
Oversee team member adherence to the Enterprise Agreement (EA), workplace regulations, and company policies.
Support investigations into workplace incidents, grievances, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and compliant resolution.
Manage the health and wellbeing of Cabin Crew members, including leading return-to-work processes, supporting injury management, and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
Provide operational support as required to ensure the achievement of performance metrics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Year 12 qualification or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large, diverse teams within a fast-paced business environment.
Previous experience within the aviation industry, preferably in a Cabin Crew or Crew Leadership capacity.
Experience leading remote teams.
Proven people leadership capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior business leaders.
High level of emotional intelligence, with the capacity to understand, monitor, and positively influence behaviours.
Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a diverse and expansive workforce.
Solid understanding of working within the framework of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
Proficiency in computer literacy.
