Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Pilot Crew Scheduler plays a crucial role in supporting pilots' schedules, ensuring on-time flight departures across United's global network. This is a demanding operational position requiring work across various shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays, with potential for overtime. Key responsibilities include:

Assigning open flying to qualified flight crew members in compliance with FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), the United Pilot Agreement, and company policies.

Analyzing pilot staffing levels, time off requests, assignments, and trip trades.

Implementing cost-effective scheduling practices while adhering to all FAA FAR and United Pilot Agreement work rules.

Assisting pilots with monthly schedule management, documenting absences, performing transactions for accurate crew pay, preserving pilot activity records, and ensuring data quality (FAR compliance, flight time, qualification data).

Maintaining proficiency in Federal Aviation regulations, pilot contract rules, and company policies to provide 24/7 support to United Airlines pilots and deliver exceptional internal customer service.

Supporting the training of new schedulers through on-the-job training sessions.

Potential for additional responsibilities related to crew scheduling operations and planning based on operational needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrated track record of strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Capacity to exercise flexibility and good judgment while managing stress in high-pressure situations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good computer knowledge and adaptability to new computer tools.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Successful completion of an interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or related experience.

Consideration given to specializations in aviation, transportation and logistics, strategic planning, engineering, or technology.

1-2 years of relevant crew scheduling or airline experience.

1-2 years of scheduling operations experience and/or experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring high-volume customer interaction.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00, dependent on factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
