Driscoll’s, the global market leader in fresh berries, is seeking a highly skilled and professional Corporate Pilot to join its aviation team. The successful candidate will leverage a broad perspective to solve complex operational challenges, implement innovative solutions, and maintain the highest standards of safety and airmanship. This role involves significant domestic and international travel, requiring a pilot with strong handling skills and an extensive instrument flight rules (IFR) background.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all government, industry, and company safety and operational requirements are strictly met.

Coordinate with Assistant Chief Pilots to resolve operational issues and report hazards via the Safety Management System.

Perform comprehensive preflight planning, including weather analysis, flight plan filing, and facility assessment.

Maintain compliance with Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, FAA Advisory Circulars, and company Standard Operating Procedures.

Attend ground and simulator training to maintain proficiency in aircraft systems and flight operations.

Assist with ground operations, including baggage handling and passenger service requirements.

Represent Driscoll’s with professionalism and integrity in all interactions with stakeholders and the business community.

Commitment to international and domestic travel requirements of up to 90%.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Experience & Education:
-
5–10 years of professional flight experience.

Minimum 2,000 hours total logged flight time; 1,500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC).

Minimum 500 hours in jet or turboprop aircraft.
-
High school diploma required; two years of college or technical training preferred.
Certifications & Licenses:
-
Commercial Multi-Engine Land license; Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license preferred.

FAA First Class Medical.

King Air 300/350 type rating preferred.

Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Valid passport for unrestricted international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong airmanship, particularly regarding operations at airports with short runways or unimproved surfaces.

Proven ability to work under time pressure and adapt to flexible schedules.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $185,000 USD, commensurate with experience, skills, and internal equity. Driscoll’s offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including:
