About the Role
A Corporate Pilot is sought to join a full-time aviation team based in Watsonville, California. This role involves assisting in complex problem-solving and developing innovative solutions related to aircraft operations. The Corporate Pilot will collaborate with Assistant Chief Pilots to ensure timely resolution of all operational matters. A strong background in instrument flight rules (IFR) and proficient aircraft handling skills are essential. While a King Air 350 type rating is preferred, it is not mandatory. The position requires comfort and expertise in operating from challenging airports, including those with short and unimproved runways.
Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all government, industry, and company safety and operational requirements.

Report flight operations safety issues and hazards to the Chief Pilot via the Safety Management System.

Execute all required preflight planning and preparation duties.

Verify aircraft, weather, flight plan, and airport facilities meet operational requirements for departure, en route, and destination.

Confirm that all required aircraft certificates and manuals are onboard before flight operations commence.

Maintain current knowledge and adherence to Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, including FAR Part 61 recent flight experience, Standard Operating Procedures, and FAA Advisory Circular material.

Participate in regular ground and simulator training to maintain flight proficiency and knowledge of operations, regulations, and aircraft systems.

Maintain current required licenses and certificates in accordance with company, ICAO, and FAA requirements.

Assist with baggage loading/unloading and passenger needs as required.

Contribute to people priorities and objectives, focusing on leader effectiveness, employee engagement, and enabling others.

Undertake domestic and international travel up to 90%.

Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner in all interactions.
Requirements
Certifications and Licenses:

Commercial Multi-Engine Land license; Airline Transport Pilot license preferred.

FAA First Class Medical certificate.

King Air 300/350 type rating preferred.

California Driver’s License or a plan to obtain one.
Minimum Experience:

2,000 hours of total logged flight experience.

1,500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC).

500 hours in Jet or Turboprop aircraft.

200 hours in type preferred.
Education:

High School diploma required.

Two years of college or technical training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work well under time pressures and adapt to non-standard work hours.

Effective communication skills.

Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
