Job Summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced and highly professional Corporate Pilot to operate its fleet of corporate aircraft for crucial business purposes. Reporting directly to the Aviation Department Manager, the Pilot is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional conduct of all company flights. This role requires an individual who can exercise final authority in aircraft operations, demonstrate strong decision-making skills in dynamic environments, and ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign aviation regulations, including FAA and ICAO standards, as well as company policies and procedures. The Pilot will serve as a visible representative of the company, requiring exceptional tact, diplomacy, a steadfast commitment to passenger safety, service excellence, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate corporate aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), strictly adhering to FAA regulations (FAR Part 91 and 135) and company operational policies.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, optimal communications equipment functionality, and cabin cleanliness.
  • Meticulously plan flight operations, considering all critical factors such as weather conditions, fuel range, expected routing, potential turbulence, Air Traffic Control (ATC) delays, and aircraft mechanical status.
  • Prepare and accurately file flight plans, performing precise calculations for aircraft weight and balance, fuel requirements, and performance charts.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date flight logbooks, aircraft documentation, navigational charts, publications, and databases.
  • Continuously monitor prevailing weather conditions at departure points, en-route, and destination/alternate airports, making necessary adjustments to travel plans.
  • Supervise Second in Command (SIC) duties, actively fostering and promoting effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) practices.
  • Exercise sound judgment and make critical, timely decisions regarding flight initiation, delays, cancellations, or deviations from planned routes when operational conditions dictate.
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to passengers, which includes coordinating ground transportation and accommodations as required.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on flight status, potential delays, and cancellations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Jabil's international travel policies, company security requirements, and all applicable export control laws and regulations.
  • Promptly log any aircraft discrepancies ("squawks") on designated forms and report them to the maintenance department and the Aviation Department Manager.
  • Manage and submit pilot expenses in compliance with Jabil’s travel guidelines and approval processes.
  • Conduct training sessions for new pilots or for existing pilots transitioning to different aircraft types, as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Aviation Department Manager to support overall department operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current, unrestricted U.S. passport or the ability to obtain one.
  • Valid 1st or 2nd Class FAA Medical Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience flying turboprop aircraft.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of FAA Regulations (FAR Part 91 and 135).
  • Familiarity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) rules and regulations.
  • Professional demeanor and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and make sound, timely decisions.
  • Advanced PC skills, including proficiency with relevant software packages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience operating multi-engine propeller-driven aircraft.
  • Instrument Rating.
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
