Job Summary
Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Corporate Pilot to join its Aviation Operations team as an on-site employee. The Corporate Pilot will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations, international regulations, and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Review aircraft maintenance status.
- Validate trip details prior to departure.
- Conduct proper pre-flight inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness, registration, and onboard documentation compliance.
- Check weather and NOTAMs, and determine fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
- Make decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate from planned routes when necessary.
- Ensure all flight-planning requirements are met.
- Maintain currency and proficiency in assigned Flight Department aircraft.
- Complete trip paperwork accurately per company procedures.
- Operate aircraft per Standard Operating Procedures and within aircraft limitations.
- Ensure flights comply with company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, and international regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Provide passenger safety briefings.
- Deliver excellent customer service to passengers and crew.
- Ensure flights are not commenced if a crewmember is incapacitated.
- Ensure flights are not continued beyond the nearest suitable airport if crewmember capacity is significantly reduced.
- Comply with schedules and directives governing aircraft operations.
- Complete post-flight duties, including reporting itinerary deviations.
- Record flight times and report aircraft defects to management and maintenance.
- Ensure aircraft documents, checklists, publications, and databases are accurate.
- Coordinate with the Director of Aviation and Director of Maintenance regarding mechanical repairs and operational status.
- Report known or suspected FAA violations or incidents to the Chief Pilot.
- Report acts of unlawful interference to the appropriate authorities.
- Report hazardous weather or flight conditions to ATC.
- Notify the appropriate authority of any accident involving the aircraft.
- Preserve flight and cockpit voice recorder data in the event of an accident/incident.
- Remain knowledgeable of pertinent areas of the Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
- Ensure compliance with Customs, Immigration, and cabotage laws.
- Conform with nonstandard environmental rules and procedures at departure and destination airports.
Qualifications
- Total flight time: 3000 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1500 hours
- MEL PIC time: 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet: 500 hours
- Instrument flight time: 250 hours
- Type rated on DA7X or comparable aircraft (preferred)
- Extensive international experience (preferred)
- FAA First Class Medical required
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis
- Primary residence within a 90-minute drive from KBDL
