Programme Overview

Wizz Air is currently accepting applications for its prestigious Pilot Academy Programme (WAPA), an industry-leading initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of Wizz Air Flight Crew. This unique, comprehensive pilot training programme offers candidates with little to no prior aviation experience the definitive pathway to achieving a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and securing a prospective career as a First Officer with Wizz Air.

The WAPA Programme facilitates high-quality, 'ab initio' pilot training, starting from scratch. All instruction is delivered under the supervision of experienced flight schools and strictly adheres to Wizz Air’s rigorous operational and safety training standards, ensuring participants receive world-class preparation for commercial flight operations.

Essential Candidate Requirements

Prospective applicants wishing to join the Flight Crew team through the WAPA Programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must hold the unrestricted legal entitlement to live and work within an existing Wizz Air operational base country. This includes, but is not limited to: Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, and Serbia.
• Possession of a minimum high school degree or an equivalent educational qualification is mandatory.
• Candidates must have attained a minimum age of 18 years at the time of application.
• Demonstrated fluency in the English language (both written and spoken proficiency are mandatory).
• Physical capability to swim a distance of 50 meters unaided is required.
