Job Summary

This role supports the Flight Training organization by providing critical data analysis and insights. The position assists the Manager, Pilot AQP Analytics, in analyzing complex data sets, creating insightful visualizations, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing data-driven recommendations to support business decision-making within flight training. The individual contributes to the operational and quality performance of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provides mathematical modeling and conducts in-depth data analysis using various statistical methods and tools to support the flight training organization.
  • Understands key flight training concepts and business drivers while working with minimal guidance on projects.
  • Executes and delivers standardized weekly and monthly reports to Flight Training stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develops reports including visualizations, KPIs, and actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Performs data mining and analysis for ad hoc projects, including exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Accomplishes work according to priorities and timelines set by the Manager, Pilot AQP Analytics, and leadership at the Flight Training Center.
  • Collaborates with departmental and divisional stakeholders to ensure data analytics are timely, accurate, and effective.
  • Works with subject matter experts to present data and insights to various stakeholders within the flight training organization and other departments.
  • Creates and maintains data collection applications using low-code/no-code tools to supplement training data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or two years of relevant work experience.
  • College degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access.
  • Possesses strong analysis, data manipulation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of interview is required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Previous experience in the Aviation Industry.
  • Experience in Flight Training.
  • Advanced Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with Educational data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, specifically Forms, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
