Flight Instructor/Cirrus Training Center Instructor (TCI)
Synergy Flight Center is rapidly growing flight school seeking full-time CFI’s for Flight Instructor positions in both Bloomington, IL (BMI) and Wheeling, IL (PWK) near Chicago.
Synergy is a Cirrus Training Center, providing structured training in 3 brand-new Cirrus SR20 G6 aircraft, the most technologically advanced aircraft in its class. In addition to flight training, Synergy is full-service aviation FBO with a brand-new facility and offers aircraft charter, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, aircraft management, aircraft detailing and aircraft sales.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide safe and proficient flight/ground school Instruction under 14 CFR Part 61 and in accordance with the Synergy Flight Training Syllabi.

Schedule and confirm lessons for clients.

Evaluate client progress per ACS standards and maintaining records.

Maintain training standard set forth by FAA regulations, Synergy Flight Training policies, and Cirrus LMS.

Promote and continue to build the Synergy Flight Center / Cirrus Partnership.

Provide clients positive reinforcement of FAA regulations and Synergy Flight Training policies.

Facilitate flight training program through syllabus and maintain training records as applicable.

Ensure personal currency requirements are being met in adherence to FAA requirements; as well as annual TSA recurrency, as directed.

Promote flight school as required through prospective client meetings and Discovery Flights.

Communicate and troubleshoot squawks and other issues with Synergy maintenance team.

Follow up with prospective new clients – maintain records of correspondence in CRM tools.

Ensure aircraft is kept orderly and clean per Synergy Flight Training policies.

Aircraft Pilot Services as required, including but not limited to, maintenance flights, ferry flights and other repositioning flights as needed.

Perform other related duties and assignments as assigned.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
-
Must have, and be able to maintain, a FAA 2nd Class Medical.

The position will be working in many environments inside and outside of the facility.

The position will have exposure to aircraft, flight training devices and other equipment.

The position may require some medium lifting up to 50lbs.
-
Position may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing as well as bending and stooping.

Some out-of-state travel may be required.

Weekend and some holiday availability required.
