Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Flight Attendant for a private aviation operation based at KVNY. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player, prepared to embrace additional responsibilities to deliver exceptional service to passengers at any hour. A strong background in culinary arts and a genuine passion for food are essential requirements, with advanced culinary training being a significant advantage. This role involves providing superior personal service while ensuring the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers throughout their flight. Key duties include warmly greeting passengers, thoroughly explaining the proper use of safety equipment, and expertly serving a variety of food and beverages.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Delivers a high level of service excellence to clients, ensuring paramount safety and comfort for all passengers during flight operations.
- Directs and assists passengers effectively in emergency situations.
- Administers basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and standard first aid procedures, to passengers requiring assistance.
- Ensures the cabin is secured in strict compliance with federal regulations prior to takeoff and landing.
- Provides reassurance to passengers during periods of turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
- Conducts comprehensive preflight briefings for passengers.
- Verifies that sufficient quantities of food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessary supplies are onboard for the planned trip and number of passengers.
- Procures specifically requested items for passengers prior to their flight.
- Inspects, cleans, and stocks the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck meticulously after each flight leg, ensuring the aircraft is always prepared, clean, and well-stocked for the next departure.
- Performs periodic cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and cabin cleanliness.
- Completes all required preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Operates aircraft audio and video systems proficiently.
Qualifications:
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Holds current First Aid Training Certification (CPR, AED, First Aid).
- Requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant-specific training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar is highly preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory.
- Candidates lacking formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other pertinent qualifications but are required to complete initial flight attendant training before being assigned flight duties.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the preceding 12 months.
- Must demonstrate strong technological proficiency.
- Requires notable flexibility and patience in managing diverse situations.
- Possesses essential culinary skills and has completed culinary-specific training.
- Must be capable of managing a dynamic and constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Available to fly on short notice, with a typical response time of 2-3 hours when on standby duty.
- Holds unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health and visa status requirements.
- Able to be deployed for consecutive periods of up to 16 days.
- Proficiently operates all features of Cabin Management Systems (CMS).
- Competently operates all galley equipment.
- Skilled in operating all cabin features, including the ability to berth seats and configure the divan into a bed.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Ability to speak one or more foreign languages fluently is preferred.
- Experience caring for small children is preferred.
Specific Qualifications and Certifications:
- Seeing: Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with corrective lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. The ability to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and effectively use a computer, smartphone, and/or iPad device is required.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to speak clearly and possess adequate hearing for effective communication over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots, including while the aircraft is in flight.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand without assistance. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours) with limited sitting is necessary. The role requires working long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel to access the luggage compartment for loading trip supplies and luggage. Ability to maneuver comfortably in the tight confines within the aircraft cabin is essential.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must possess the strength required to push open and pull closed the main cabin door (weighing up to 130 pounds). The ability to write, type, use a computer and phone, and prepare/cook and serve food and beverages is mandatory. Must be capable of lifting supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds repeatedly from floor level to waist height.

Solairus crewmembers' compensation typically ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually.
