Gulfstream G700 Flight Attendant – Van Nuys, CA
Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Flight Attendant to be based at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY). This individual will provide exceptional in-flight service to passengers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout their journeys aboard a Gulfstream G700. The successful candidate will be a flexible team player, adept at handling diverse responsibilities and dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer service around the clock. A passion for culinary arts is essential, with advanced culinary training being highly desirable.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver a superior level of service to clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort during all phases of flight.
- Direct and assist passengers during emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and general first aid, to passengers in distress.
- Secure the cabin in accordance with federal aviation regulations before takeoff and landing.
- Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling circumstances.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings.
- Ensure adequate stocking of the aircraft with food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment prior to each flight.
- Procure special items requested by passengers.
- Inspect, clean, and restock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg.
- Conduct regular cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and cleanliness.
- Complete all necessary pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate the aircraft's audio and video systems.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Current First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar accredited institution preferred; annual recurrent training is required. Candidates without formal training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training prior to flight assignment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed training within the past 12 months.
- Proficiency in the use of technology.
- Flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Exceptional culinary skills and formal culinary training.
- Ability to manage a variable schedule, including late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response if on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally (considering health and visa requirements).
- Capacity to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Proficient operation of all aspects of the Cabin Management System.
- Proficient operation of all galley equipment.
- Competent in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring divans into beds.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- College degree preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred.
- Experience working with small children preferred.
Specific Qualifications and Certifications:
- Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses; uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and operate a computer, smartphone, and/or iPad device.
- Must possess clear speaking skills and have adequate hearing to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and pilots over the phone and in person, even during flight operations.
- Must be physically fit and capable of walking and standing unassisted for extended periods, potentially up to 14 hours, with limited opportunities to sit, and able to work in various climates.
- Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load supplies and luggage and maneuver in tight spaces within the aircraft.
- Must be able to open and close the main cabin door, which can weigh up to 130 pounds. Must possess sufficient strength to write, type, use a computer and phone, and prepare/cook/serve food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist level repeatedly.
