Contour Airlines, a well-established aviation services provider, is seeking a dedicated Flight Attendant to join its team in Charlotte, NC (CLT). This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $34,000.00 to $42,564.91 annually. The Flight Attendant will perform required duties within an aircraft environment, adhering to all established standards, policies, laws, and regulations, including those set by the Federal Aviation Administration. They will prioritize the safety and comfort of passengers, providing exemplary customer service that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities include assisting with luggage, attending to special needs passengers, preparing and serving refreshments, and maintaining a professional appearance. In emergency situations, the Flight Attendant will follow flight deck instructions and safety procedures, providing guidance and first aid as required. The position also involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, making public address announcements, completing reports, and maintaining the aircraft’s cabin appearance. This role requires physical capability to lift, bend, reach, and operate cabin service equipment, along with the ability to handle the physical demands of the position including exposure to allergens and the ability to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds and push and pull heavy beverage/food carts requiring 32lbs of force when pushing or pulling.

Additionally, paid sick leave, vested vacation hours, non-revenue space available travel privileges after six months of service, and various leaves of absence are offered. Compensation includes an annual starting salary of $34,000.00, with eligibility for yearly increases up to $42,564.91 based on performance. Pay incentives for additional trips may also be available.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; bilingual proficiency is preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as mandated by the DOT.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year work history review, criminal background, and fingerprint checks.
  • Successful completion of Contour’s four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must live within one (1) hour of assigned domicile.
  • Possess professional interpersonal skills, strong leadership abilities, and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to working in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
