Gulfstream G550 Flight Attendant

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Full-Time Flight Attendant to join an operation based at KRNO. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional personal services, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers aboard a Gulfstream G550 aircraft during flight operations. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player, willing to embrace additional responsibilities to provide superior service around the clock.
This position requires a passion for culinary arts and demonstrated culinary experience, with advanced culinary training strongly preferred. The Flight Attendant is responsible for providing a high level of service to clients, greeting passengers, explaining the use of safety equipment, and expertly serving food and beverages.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a high level of service to clients, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout flights.
- Direct and assist passengers effectively during emergencies.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, to passengers requiring assistance.
- Secure the cabin diligently in compliance with federal regulations prior to take-off and landing.
- Reassure passengers during instances of turbulence or other unsettling situations.
- Conduct comprehensive preflight briefings for passengers.
- Ensure the aircraft is adequately stocked with food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessary supplies for each trip and passenger count.
- Shop for specific items specially requested by passengers for their flight experience.
- Inspect, meticulously clean, and restock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg.
- Ensure the aircraft is consistently prepared for flight, maintained in a clean state, and fully stocked.
- Conduct periodic cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Accurately complete all required preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Efficiently operate aircraft audio and video systems.
- Operate all features of the Cabin Management Systems and galley equipment.
- Operate all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Possession of a current First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant is required.
- Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar recognized program is strongly preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal initial flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete required training before flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed formal training within the past 12 months.
- Must be technologically savvy.
- Demonstrated flexibility and patience are essential.
- Strong culinary skills and specific culinary training are required.
- Ability to effectively manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice (requiring a 2-3 hour response time if on Standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (considering health and visa status requirements).
- Ability to deploy for periods of up to 16 consecutive days.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are critical.
- Possesses a high level of attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Experience caring for small children is preferred.
Specific Physical Qualifications:
- Vision: Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and effectively use computers, smartphones, and tablet devices.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must possess clear speaking ability and adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots, even in the aircraft cabin environment during flight.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable of walking and standing without assistance for extended periods, potentially up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit. Must be able to work long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and luggage and maneuver effectively in tight confines within the aircraft.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be physically capable of pushing open/pulling closed the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds. Must be able to write, type, operate computers and phones, and prepare/cook and serve food and beverages. Must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height.
